Recently the Santa Marta Pole of the University of Verona hosted a major conference entitled "What Makes Italian Technology Unique in the World". Among the protagonists of the day, the CEO of flow-meter™, Roberto Paratico, shared his experience in the field of biomedical equipment, representing an excellence of Made in Italy technology.
The conference, organized by the Italian Technology Hall of Fame and moderated by prof. Carlo Massironi, brought together industry leaders such as Giorgio Garuzzo, former CEO of Iveco then general manager of the Fiat Group, Giancarlo Michellone, an engineer who led the invention of the Fiat ABS and later became CEO of the Fiat Research Center and president of the Science Park in Trieste, and Pietro Camardella, who at Pininfarina designed five Ferraris and directed the styling of Lancia and the advanced design of the Fiat Research Center, as well as academics and students to explore the legacy and future of Italian technology. During his speech, Roberto Paratico emphasized the value of innovation in highly complex sectors, such as the biomedical sector, and the importance of meeting European regulatory challenges with determination.
"Only 5 percent of companies have managed to meet the new European directives regulating the biomedical sector. However, as an old Pirelli advertisement used to say, it is the most difficult conditions that make things extraordinary," said Paratico, encouraging young people to believe in the potential of Italian industry.
Paratico's speech also touched on the issue of skills and prospects for recent graduates: "The future of Italian technology depends on the ability to combine design, aesthetics and innovation. Our goal must be to create something extraordinary, that no one else can do."  The participation of Flow Meter in events like this highlights the company's commitment to promoting Italian talent and technological excellence, inspiring a new generation of innovators to build their professional future in our country. An appointment that confirmed Italy as a protagonist on the international technology scene.
