Cal Crutchlow scores a victory at the Argentina MotoGP

11-04-18

Following an excellent fourth place in the season’s first Gran Prix in Qatar, it is in Argentina that Cal Crutchlow hits it big: a win for the British rider that takes his LCR Honda team, also sponsored by flow-meter™, to the highest place on the podium.
A win in a race that was unpredictable, chaotic, incredible and rich in amazing turns of events from the word go. But Crutchlow managed to win, deservedly achieving the third victory of his career by overtaking Johann Zarco and Alex Rins at the end of a finale that was truly well managed. World champion Marquez crossed the finishing line in fifth place but owing to a penalization of 30 seconds for his aggressive intervention at the expense of Valentino Rossi causing him to fall, was finally placed eighteenth.
Cal Crutchlow expressed his satisfaction at the end of the race. “It’s always a great moment when you win - explains the LCR Honda team’s leading rider to the microphones of Sky Sport - I certainly took some risk, but they were calculated and I managed to take a very important win”. Credit where it is due however: “My team was impeccable and I immediately realized that the bike was responding well. I now have a Honda whose engine is much better than it was a year ago. And we are starting to see the results”.
Next appointment with the MotoGp of the Americas in Texas on 22 April.
