CRUTCHLOW COMES FOURTH IN THE DESERT TEST: MOTOGP RETURNS ON 18 MARCH

07-03-18

With the winter tests complete, MotoGP will shortly be making its return at the Losail circuit in Qatar on 18 March. Once again this season, flow-meter™ will be sponsoring Cal Crutchlow’s Team LCR Honda CASTROL.
During the recent pre-season tests on the Losail track, Crutchlow achieved a stunning fourth place. The British rider completed 57 laps and at the end of the evening, together with his MotoGP colleagues, tested the track in wet conditions to assess the visibility and grip ahead of the 18 March race.
“We’ve finished the winter testing and we're ready to get started with the first stage here in Losail,” said the British rider. “The work we’ve done so far has been very positive. There’s still room for improvement, particularly with the front of the bike, but overall we raced well here. At the end of the evening, we did a few laps in the wet and personally I think that the visibility is good, but we’ll have to assess the grip as well, so we’ll talk to the Safety Commission about it in a couple of weeks.”
It was a less positive finish for Team LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider Taka Nakagami who, after proving the fastest rookie in the tests, suffered a bad crash on the last day.
