Cal Crutchlow’s season continues with its highs and lows riding his LCR Honda in the World Championship. The British rider was unable to advance beyond sixth position last weekend on his home circuit of Silverstone in the UK, struggling and not just in terms of pace. The result was clearly influenced by his motorcycle’s tires. I did my best, but the tire wasn't quite there, explained Cal Crutchlow at the end of the race I felt immediately a lack of grip and I knew that I wouldn’t be on the podium. A similar situation happened in Mugello. Finishing nineteen seconds behind the winner is not acceptable, not for me, nor for my team, but we all did our best this weekend. Crutchlow now occupies ninth position in the overall standings, thanks to his performance throughout the championship. His last podium was in July at the Grand Prix of Germany at Sachsenring. On that occasion, the British rider of the LCR team followed closely on the tail of Viñales, passing beneath the checkered flag in second place. He also had an excellent fifth place finish in early August in the Czech Republic, six seconds behind winner Marquez.
