CRUTCHLOW PUTS THE HONDA LCR TEAM ON THE PODIUM: SECOND IN JAPAN!

23-10-18

A weekend to frame: Cal Crutchlow second at the end of a beautiful and exciting race! The rider, on his Honda LCR, sponsored by flow-meter™, climbed the winner’s podium together with new World Champion, Marc Marquez. Álex Rins came in third. A great first and second place win racked up by Honda on the day that Marc Marquez was anointed the top of MotoGp.

The British rider took advantage of Andrea Dovizioso’s fall to come in second and won an important result in the “Independent” classification, and in the final he had to contend with the attack of an increasingly threatening Álex Rins.
Crutchlow was happy at the end of the race: “I’m really satisfied that I was able to reach the podium here in Japan. My team did a great job over the course of the entire weekend and achieving a first and second place win on Honda’s home track is a great result. I want to congratulate Marc for winning the title, he was fantastic on the track all year.” On his race: “I should have gotten out in front immediately, not getting behind Dovizioso. At the end, it was Marquez who took the lead.
Next appointment in Australia in a week: “It won’t be easy at Philip Island because now Marquez has nothing to lose... but we’ll give it our best, like always”.
Cal Crutchlow is fifth in the ranking behind Marquez, Dovizioso, Rossi and Viñales.
