News - Sponsoring

For years it was believed, perhaps mistakenly, that it was the bike that did most of the work, and that a winning bike automatically led to victory, regardless of who rode it. Lately, however, with the levelling out of mechanical performance, the psychological aspect of our riders is also beginning to be given due weight, seen as a key element in being true champions and not, ‘simply’, good riders.

Cal Crutchlow’s season continues with its highs and lows riding his LCR Honda in the World Championship. The British rider was unable to advance beyond sixth position last weekend on his home circuit of Silverstone in the UK, struggling and not just in terms of pace. The result was clearly influenced by his motorcycle’s tires.

Nobody was expecting a third place finish for Crutchlow at the first MotoGP race of the season in Qatar, not least after his serious crash in Australia at the end of last season. Yet the Team LCR Honda rider, who is sponsored by flow-meter™, surprised once again.

A weekend to frame: Cal Crutchlow second at the end of a beautiful and exciting race! The rider, on his Honda LCR, sponsored by flow-meter™, climbed the winner’s podium together with new World Champion, Marc Marquez. Álex Rins came in third.

A fabulous third place for Cal Crutchlow in the San Marino Gran Prix! The British pilot of LCR Honda ranked just behind Andrea Dovizioso and Marc Marquez at Misano, conquering a difficult podium in a home race.

Sixth- and fourth-place finishes in the last two Grand Prix (Italy and Catalonia) have catapulted Team LCR Honda’s Cal Crutchlow into sixth position in the MotoGP World Standings, pulling him ahead of Lorenzo and Dovizioso.

Following an excellent fourth place in the season’s first Gran Prix in Qatar, it is in Argentina that Cal Crutchlow hits it big: a win for the British rider that takes his LCR Honda team, also sponsored by flow-meter™, to the highest place on the podium.
